PS508 is a bi-directional single-pole eight way switch
PS509 is a bi-directional dual-pole four-way switch – suitable for 4:1 switching of differential signals
Both work across -40°C to +125°C.
“The analogue multiplexers that are capable of switching signal voltages of up to 36V in an industrial environment,” according to the company. “The high voltage capability of the devices will support IIoT [industrial IoT] applications using multiple sensors, including factory automation and process control, battery monitoring systems, and test and measurement equipment.”
Supply rails can be any combination of voltages that provide a total between 10 and 36V, providing the positive rail is at least 5V. A ground pin is provided, to which both rails must be decoupled, and which provides a reference for the digital logic inputs (Lo <0.8V, Hi >2.0V).
The logic lines are the addresses and an enable which disables all switches when low.
Charge injection is 0.9pC, and both input and output capacitances are ≤30pF.
They offer an on-resistance of 125Ω (±15V supply, 250Ωmax ±10V -40°C to +125°C). Typical leakages are well below 1nA, or 50nAmax across all temperatures.
Operation is break-before-make and fast – typical transition time is 171ns (310ns max) with a 75ns (30ns min) break.
“Low on-resistance, low leakage current and low charge injection will help to prevent signal loss and degradation, reduce the error on output signals, and improve the signal quality for back-end ADC analysis,” said Diodes. “Fast break supports real-time applications and low leakage current allows them to be used in applications where they are interfacing to high impedance sources.”
Packaging is 16pin in a choice of TSSOP(L), QSOP(Q) or SOIC(W).
