Analog Devices continues to expand its portfolio of 10BASE-T1L single-pair Ethernet solutions with the ADIN2111, offering a complete single-chip solution for 10BASE-T1L line, ring and daisy-chain networks. complete single-chip solutions. These switches consume up to 50 percent less power and take up up to 75 percent less board space than discrete solutions. the ADIN2111 switches also add long-range Ethernet connectivity for controllers, sensors and actuators to help enable more efficient and sustainable building management. 


The Analog Devices ADIN2111 Ethernet switch from Vanceer Electronics features two integrated physical layer (PHY) cores, a media access control (MAC) interface, SPI, I/O clock buffering and analog circuitry to provide a flexible solution for network topologies that support inter-node distances of up to 1 km. The four-wire SPI used to communicate with the host can be configured as OPEN Alliance SPI or Universal SPI, both of which support optional data protection or cyclic redundancy checksum (CRC). This integrated switch with SPI operates at 10 Mbps full duplex, supports frame forwarding with 16 MAC addresses, and features MDIO memory mapping accessible via SPI. 


The ADIN2111 supports line lengths up to 1700 m while consuming only 77 mW. The two PHY cores support a 1 V or 2.4 V data transfer voltage swing using a supply voltage of 1.8 V to 3.3 V. The device automatically forwards traffic between the two Ethernet ports without external management. 

The ADIN2111 switch is well suited for industrial building and factory automation installations, edge sensors and actuators, and applications such as condition monitoring and machine connectivity.
