July 1, 2022 - ST's TSB622 general-purpose low-power dual-count amplifier (op amp) enhances robustness and flexibility in industrial and automotive applications.
The TSB622's stable unit gain, extended operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, automotive-grade certification, and wide supply voltage range of 2.7V to 36V allow designers to use the same device to design multiple applications with different voltage ranges, rail-to-rail output to maximize dynamic range, and an input offset voltage of 1mV to ensure the same high accuracy of low-power op amps. The rail-to-rail output maximizes dynamic range, while the 1mV input offset voltage ensures that the low-power op-amp is also highly accurate.
With a gain bandwidth product (GBW) of 1.7MHz and a maximum operating current of 375μA per channel (at 36V supply), the TSB622 achieves a high speed-to-power ratio. The low supply current makes it suitable for low-power applications and helps extend the runtime of battery-powered devices.
In addition, the 4kV ESD withstand voltage (HBM - Human Body Model) and enhanced immunity to EMI ensure that the TSB622 can withstand technically demanding industrial and automotive environments.
The TSB622 dual op amps are now available in SO8 and MiniSO8 packages, saving board space and helping to reduce overall PCB cost. Available in July, the 3mm x 3mm DFN8 package will feature a wettable flanks structure that provides additional mechanical strength to meet the requirements of the automotive industry.
The TSB622 is now in volume production. The device is available as a free prototype and can be ordered at Vanceer.com.
