Uppsala, Sweden, June 27, 2022 - IAR Systems, a global leader in embedded development software and services, today announced the availability of the Visual Studio Code extension for IAR Systems. Developers can now access this extension from the Visual Studio Code Marketplace to use the power of IAR Systems' professional software solutions for embedded systems in the Visual Studio Code environment. 

Over the years, IAR Systems and Azure RTOS have proven their superior product integration capabilities, including the integration of the Azure RTOS ThreadX kernel in the IAR Embedded Workbench debugger. This top-notch debugger integration with the Microsoft Embedded Tools extension includes the ability to view all Azure RTOS ThreadX objects, set thread-specific breakpoints, view the call stack of suspended threads, and view execution profiles and performance monitoring features unique to Azure RTOS ThreadX. This new IAR Systems extension brings the same high level of integration capabilities to the Visual Studio Code community.
