The RZ/V2L supports entry-level artificial intelligence (AI) while maintaining many of the powerful features of its predecessor, the RZ/V2M, including excellent power efficiency and The RZ/V2L is ideal for engineers seeking cost-effective AI solutions.
Vanceer Electronics supplies the Renesas RZ/V2L microprocessor with Renesas' exclusive AI Dynamic Configurable Processor (DRP-AI), so it can support a variety of image processing uses, including color correction and noise reduction of input/output images. This property allows designers to use inexpensive camera modules without the need for an external image signal processor to interpret sensor data, which is key to integrating AI into a variety of cost- and power-constrained Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Driving the RZ/V2L microprocessor is a 1.2 GHz dual-core Arm® Cortex®-A55 CPU with an Arm Mali™-G31 3D graphics engine.
The RZ/V2L microprocessor is available in a 15 mm × 15 mm or 21 mm × 21 mm BGA package, both of which are pin compatible with the Renesas RZ/G2L, making it easy to upgrade and reuse software without modifying the system configuration. To facilitate evaluation, Mazars also stocks the Renesas Electronics RZ/V2L SMARC PMIC kit.
The RZ/V2L microprocessor provides AI functionality for a wide range of consumer and industrial IoT products, including surveillance cameras with recognition capabilities, home appliances, smart doorbells, smart robotic cleaning devices and retail terminals (POS).
