Infineon, a global leader in semiconductor solutions, has signed a partnership agreement with RT-Thread, a leading IoT operating system vendor, to become a Gold Member of the RT-Thread Open Source Community. Infineon will provide innovative solutions from product to system applications for developers in the RT-Thread ecosystem with its technical expertise in core IoT areas such as sensing, computing, execution, connectivity, and security. 

The wave of digitization has given rise to a variety of smart applications and scenarios that will continue to boost the momentum of IoT development. Since the completion of the acquisition of Cypress in 2020, Infineon has been actively integrating their product and technology advantages to expand their business to sense, computing, execution, connectivity, security and other important aspects of IoT, and is committed to become an enabler of all-round IoT applications. 

Sensing - Infineon's extensive sensor portfolio features high reliability, high accuracy and low power consumption, giving devices the ability to "see", "hear" and "feel". 

Operations - Infineon has a broad portfolio of microcontrollers, including low-power PSoC microcontrollers designed for IoT applications, and PSoC 6 products that integrate CapSense capacitive touch technology to provide a stable and reliable touch interface.

Infineon is also the market leader in USB and USB C with more than 1 billion shipments since 2008. 

Security - Infineon has extensive security expertise and offers complete solutions based on hardware and software packages to make IoT devices easily secure. 

RT-Thread is an open source real-time operating system with a complete set of components, highly scalable, easy to develop, ultra-low power consumption, high security features, support for a variety of architectures and compilation tools, and support a variety of standard interfaces such as POSIX, CMSIS, C++ application environment, Javascript execution environment.
